Nunavut tattoo artist Jana Angulalik writes "I am one of many Inuit women proudly carrying on the tradition of wearing kakiniit, or traditional Inuit tattoos, across Inuit Nunangat." A tradition that had previously been banned, it is now undergoing a resurgence through initiatives such as the Tattoo Revitalization Project.
